Constitution of Wales Lacrosse Supporter's Club

  1. Name

The club shall be called the Wales Lacrosse Supporter’s Club (“the Club”).

  1. Objects

The objects of the Clubs are:

    1. To support Wales Lacrosse and the furtherance of lacrosse as a game in Wales and internationally.
    1. To source and organise fundraising ventures to help resource Wales Women’s Lacrosse.
  1. Membership
    1. Membership shall be open to all members of the public, subject to the payment of the membership fees as decided from time to time by the Committee.
    1. Membership of the Club is in accordance with the terms and conditions of Membership, which shall be made available to the members on request.
    1. This constitution shall be made available to all members of the society on request.
  1. Government and Association
    1. The Club shall be governed by a committee consisting of the Officers of the Club (“the Committee”).
    1. The Committee shall hold office for one year and shall meet not less than once in every Season.
    1. The Club is associated to the sub-committee and players known as “Wales Lacrosse” and all shall adhere to all those rules and regulations which apply to Wales Lacrosse governing the Welsh Lacrosse Association, the International Federation of Women’s Lacrosse or any other national governing body.
  1. Officers
    1. The officers of the Club shall be members of the Club at the time of election, and shall consist of:-
      1. the President;
      1. the Treasurer;
      1. the Secretary; and
      1. such other officers as the Club deems necessary.
    1. They shall hold officer for one year and shall be elected by separate vote from among the members of the Club at the Annual General Meeting.
    1. An officer shall be eligible for re-election provided that they are still a bona fide member of the Club.
  1. Records
    1. Shall be kept by the secretary and made available for inspection by any member of the club/society or by the Union Council if so required.
    1. These records will include minutes of any meetings, minutes of the AGM, and the Annual Report.
    1. The Club shall provide details of their officers and current membership, to Wales Lacrosse.
    1. Full details of all Officers will be recorded and current membership lists shall be maintained, including details of membership fees paid.
  1. Vacation of Office
    1. Any Officer may vacate their office upon resignation giving not less than two months’ notice in writing to the Committee or upon dismissal by resolution of a general meeting of the Club.
    1. On vacating office the treasurer of the Club shall hand over the books of account to her duly elected successor and report the handing over to the Union.
    1. In the event of the Club not electing any officers for the following Season, the treasurer shall hand over the books to the Wales Lacrosse.
  1. Annual General Meeting
    1. This meeting shall be held in the first four weeks of the lacrosse season (being 1 September to 31 August inclusive).
    1. Not less than fourteen clear days notice of the AGM shall be given by being displayed on the Website.
    1. Wales Lacrosse shall be given equal notification.
    1. Each member is entitled to one vote.
    1. Members of the Welsh Lacrosse Association who are not members of the Club do not have voting rights.
  1. General Meetings
    1. These shall be called at the discretion of the Committee or at the written request of not less than six members of the Club or at the direction of Wales Lacrosse.
    1. Notice of not less than three clear weeks, excluding weekends and bank holidays shall be given.
    1. Each member is entitled to one vote.
    1. Members of the Welsh Lacrosse Association who are not members of the Club do not have voting rights.
  1. Finance
    1. The Club shall be self-funded although, applications by the Club to the Wales Lacrosse for grants of money shall be made at the discretion of the Committee by the Treasurer of the Club.
    1. A budget for the following session shall be submitted to Wales Lacrosse by the start of the financial year (31 August).
    1. Failure to present the budget may make the Club liable to lose its affiliation to the Wales Lacrosse, unless an extension has been obtained.
  1. Amendment of the Constitution
    1. This constitution may be amended or altered only by a resolution supported by two-thirds of the members present and voting at a general meeting, provided that no alteration shall contravene any part of the Welsh Lacrosse Association’s constitution, or be valid unless and until it is allowed by Wales Lacrosse.
