Wales host the 2008 Home International tournament at Penarth Athletic Club. The home country will battle it out against England, Scotland and this year’s guest, Japan.
The tournament runs from Saturday 19th April until Monday 21st April 2008 and is located at Penarth Athletic Club, The Clubhouse, Athletic Field, Lavernock Road, PENARTH, CF64 3QG.
Wales Lacrosse will be running various fundraising events, including a raffle, an International Cake Stall and the Lacrosse Lotto. Penarth Clubhouse will also be offering hot food and refreshments.
This year’s tournament promises an excellent standard of lacrosse, with the Home Nations looking to play in the Prague Cup and 2008 Europeans in Helsinki later this year. Japan, who finished 5th in the 2005 World Cup, will add an extra dimension with their distinctive game play. Spectators are in store for an exciting display of women’s lacrosse!

A New Season

An action-packed 2 years lies ahead as we build up to World Cup 2009. The next 2 seasons roll into each other without much of a break but with plenty of opportunities for players to stake a claim for a spot in the final world cup squad.
After Home Internationals in April 2008, Wales will enter the Prague Cup in June and shortly after that move on to Helsinki to defend our European Championship title. The Home Internationals will take place in Wales this season and we will be looking to continue our steady progress over the last two seasons and this time take the title on home soil........

Wales wills be hosting this years senior home international tournament, from the 19th to the 21st of April 2008.
This years competition promises to be a tough encounter with Wales, Scotland and England, in mid preparation for the European championship, and by invitation Japan who will provide an additional challenge, adding a little perspective in preparation for next years World Cup.
